From clinical practice to healthcare technology
Rolando is a healthcare technology and transformation leader whose career connects bedside nursing, clinical informatics, enterprise applications, and executive IT leadership. A registered nurse for more than 30 years, including 17 years in active clinical practice, he brings a clinician’s perspective to the systems people use to deliver and coordinate care.
His clinical background shapes a practical question: does a technology decision make the work clearer and easier for the people doing it? That perspective informs his approach to workflow redesign, technology strategy, vendor evaluation, and organizational change. He emphasizes understanding existing processes and involving the people who rely on them before choosing a solution.
Executive accountability, grounded in operations
As former CITO, Rolando directed a technology portfolio of more than $50 million supporting a multispecialty medical group across more than 90 locations. His responsibilities included enterprise IT operations, technology governance, modernization, and collaboration with clinical and executive leaders.
Earlier in his career, he led five teams responsible for clinical and business applications. This experience connects the day-to-day needs of care teams with the decisions, ownership, and follow-through required to support technology across an organization.
A hands-on approach to building
Through Agape Technology Solutions, Rolando has built proof-of-concept AI applications for friends and family to deepen his hands-on understanding of current technologies. That work has sharpened his attention to practical questions about reliability, security, adoption, and ongoing support.
He brings together clinical understanding, executive accountability, and a builder’s curiosity. His focus is on identifying the right problems, making sound technology decisions, and creating improvements that people can use and sustain.
Why that perspective matters for Estrella
Estrella brings that perspective to the coordination behind home care: inquiries, staff readiness, schedules, care records, attendance, and financial preparation. The aim is to make handoffs clearer and keep the people using the system connected to the next action.
Estrella HomecareOS is a product of Agape Technology Solutions, built on Kalinga Care Platform workflows. Commercial multi-agency onboarding remains under development.
